how to change with the seasons
Listen to that voice inside of your head, that nagging pit at the bottom of your stomach.
Make a burner account. Don’t follow anyone you know.
Book a train ticket. A plane ticket. Somewhere where the weather is warmer and the people are kinder.
Throw out the itinerary. The life itinerary. The timelines. Ignore the worst advice you’ve ever received. Which, coincidentally, might be everything you’ve ever known.
Actually - what is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Bonus points if you don’t know. Now you get a chance to write it.
How many times can we change, how many times can we become undone?
Can we start looking at the minutes, the hours, the days, as seasons? As permission to grow. As permission to evolve.
The more we let go of what we’ve outgrown, and maybe more of the distance we create from our roots - the more we allow the sun to show us who we really are. Who we are really meant to be.
We can learn a lot from flowers, I think. From nature and the way it moves, the way it speaks.
All we have to do is listen.
